The Indians and Giants battled at the Jeff Friday night, with the Tribe coming out on top 1-0. Daryl Pina (7IP,2H,4K,0ER) and Dan Shanahan (7IP,5H,6K,0ER) were the stars of the night, each going the distance and demonstrating why they're playing in Lowell on Saturday. Brook Smith scored the lone Indians run in the top of the 7th. Smith singled, then advanced all the way home off of a failed pickoff attempt and a passed ball at third. Mark Bowles led the Tribe with two hits. Mike Byrne and Jason Grenier had the lone hits for the Giants.
