Reds win via forfeit due to a Giant ejection causing their roster to dip below the required 9. Steve Corda (Giants) & Glenn Perham (Reds) battled it out. The Giants took an early 1-0 lead in the 1st inning where it stayed until the 7th inning. Then, Joe Dunne pinch hit and led off with a walk. He then stole second and moved to third on a two-out Chris Chase infield hit. Dunne then scored on a double-steal which was mishandled at the plate. In the bottom of the 7th, with the score 1-1, a Giants player was ejected which left them with only eight eligible players, resulting in a forfeit. In the "exhibition" which followed, Corda stayed hot on the mound putting the Reds out in order (18 K's total, 15 K's legit). Corda then knocked in the ultimate decider with a double to left, making the "exhibition" final score 2-1 Giants. But instead, Glenn Perham got the "real" win for the Reds, allowing 1 hit in 7 innings with 10 K's.
