The Spinners edged the Dodgers in a pitcher's duel 2-1 in Newton. Luc Kocher pitched a complete game, striking out eight. Cambridge scored in the second when Mark Killoren singled and later scored on a Mike Navarro single. They added to their lead in the third when Colin Sullivan walked and Mike Knell drove him in on a sac fly. Jeff Hall pitched a complete game for the Dodgers, giving up four hits while striking out three. He also drove in the lone run for Newton in the third. The Dodgers had the tying run on base in the bottom of the seventh, but a Bobby Maccioli catch ended the rally and the game. The Spinners will look to stay undefeated tomorrow night in Waltham.
