Spinners early morning struggles continued this Sunday. J.Hall and the Dodgers were wide awake while the Spinners bats were sound asleep. Making his first start, Mattina sailed through 3 innings then ran into trouble as the dodgers hit the ball hard, knocking in 4 runs. Doerr pitched a scoreless 5th and Lippi did the same in the 6th. The Dodgers J.Hall pitched 6 strong giving up 1 hit before giving way to the pen. As noon hit and the 7th inning began the Spinners were ready to wake up. D.Caceres started the rally with a single and the Spinners would score 9 runs led by the Caceres bros and Killeran. In the bottom 9 the Dodgers would strike back scoring 4 more. With 2 outs and the tying run at 3rd Lippi would get a ground ball and a win for the Spinners.
