Brian Cooper's double to deep left in the 6th gave the Rockies a come-from-behind 4-2 win against the Mets at Ryan. Cooper drove in Kevin Spitz, who had doubled in the tying run after a leadoff triple by Jeff Shea. The victim of the Rockies' outburst was a valiant Bill Beauchesne, who threw 132 pitches to cover for a depleted Mets bullpen. Al Becker's 2-run triple in the 3rd, the only hit allowed by Greg O'Keeffe, gave the Mets the lead, but the Rockies battled back. Newlywed Bart Lawyer tripled and scored in the 5th to start the comeback. Geoff Sylvester earned the win, hurling 3 scoreless innings and allowing 1 hit with 3 strikeouts.

Coop drove in the game-winner and Sly picked up the win; Beauchesne had better get some ice on that arm.
