It was a windy morning in Cambridge, as the Spinners squeaked out a tight win vs a young O's squad. Spinners hopped on top early with a 2-0 lead. in the 3rd Kocher ran into some trouble, as fielding miscues led to the O's plating 3. In the bottom half of the inning De Los Santos would take it upon himself to make something happen, stealing 3rd, leading to a bad throw and tying the game up. Spinners would score 2 more in the 5th and take a 2 run lead. Things got interesting in the 6th when Kocher left the game, the Orioles were able to load the bases with 0 outs, only down by a run. Enter the veteran Blomerth. With ice water in his veins, he was able to get 3 ground ball outs, 2 made by newly resigned Mike Navarro. The top 7th was hairy as well, when the Orioles again had runners in scoring position but a close play at the plate and the tough pitching of Blomerth were able to stop them in their tracks. Kocher improves to 2-0.
