Cannon adds a little each inning to stay ahead of Grossman in a well fought game. Hits by Castoldi, Fonseca and Treff get GM on the board early but Cannon answers with hits by McCann and McCue. McCue comes up big again next inning with a two run triple after some walks and an rbi single from Panozzi. McCue wanting to play for both teams, helps GM in the 4th by letting a Castoldi base hit roll through him, plating Reinhardt. Not to be outdone, Desai takes the relay and throws a touchdown pass over 3rd to allow Castoldi to score on the play. The McCue show continues with his 3rd hit of the night in the bottom of 4 followed by a Bavly single. Colon's double brings them in to get the runs back. GM gets 2 back in the 6th after Fonseca's second double and a Malloy single. Hernandez comes in for Cannon and stops the bases loaded threat and earns the save in the 7th.
