Melrose Americans held tough until late against the Lexington Blue Sox on Sunday, but Lexington scored 10 runs in the seventh for a 13-5 victory at Morelli Field. Mark Addesa racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Melrose Americans. He singled in the second and sixth innings. Sam Steed got the win for Lexington. The veteran southpaw tossed one-third of an inning of shutout ball. He struck out one, walked two and surrendered two hits. Lexington's Tommy Bourden, Steve Gath (2 2b,3R), Josh Klimkiewicz (HR, 4 RBI) and Tommy McKenna combined for eight hits and seven RBIs.
