Matt Karis (1-0) pitched a complete game two hitter and Pete Frates hit his first home run of the season to pace Lexington (3-2) to a 3-0 win over Medford (2-2) Monday night. Frates hit a two-run blast in the third to give Lexington all the runs it would need. Dan Capra's sacrifice fly scored Nick Martinho with the third Blue Sox run. Karis allowed only four base runners. Singles in the second and fourth and walks in the fifth and sixth. He struck out eight.
