On a blistering afternoon at Trum Field Mike Sciarappa and John Merritt pitched in a duel with the Cyclones coming out on top. Sciarappa pitched a one hitter through 6 2/3 before Kevin Loveless came in to close out the 7th. The key play of the game was made by 3rd base coach Paul DiPrizio noticing a chance for Rob Lerro to steal home with the game winning run. Lerro continues to stay hot going 2-3 on the day with a walk and scoring the Cyclone's 2 runs. For the Dodgers Shatto had the lone hit of the game and Merritt struck out 5 through 7 innings of work.
