The Astros saw this as their first real test against a premiere team in the Yawkey League...and passed. A 3 run 1st inning with RBI from the 3-4-5 hitters (Reyes, Peguero, and Baldassari) proved to be all the Astros would need in this game! Brad Presler (1-1) was brilliant on the mound going 6 strong innings, shutting out the Bulldogs until the 6th, when he gave up 2 runs, only one earned. Velez came in with a man on 1st and no outs. He struck out the first 2 batters he faced and got the 3rd to ground out to 2nd for his 2nd save of the season.
