Dan Gaughan tossed a complete game 3-hitter as the A's edged the Astros 2-1. James Katsiroubas singled home Steve Lambert in the 3rd inning with the eventual winning run. Brendan Wheeler and Bill Donahue hit doubles in the 2nd inning to drive in the first Al Thomas run. Gaughan walked none and struck out 5 in picking up his first win of the season.
