The Mets jumped out to an early 3-0 lead. Pitcher Dan Hamilos settled in and kept the Mets at bay long enough for the Grays bats to explode. Entering the top of the seventh, Hamilos was enjoying an 8-4 lead with one out when the Mets suddenly went on the attack with 5 runs featuring a 3 run homer by Russo. Trailing 9-8 in the bottom of the seventh the grays hit 4 straight singles, the last by Hamilos, for a walk-off win.....WOW!
