Did not look like this game was going to happen, but after the rains cleared out for a while we were able to get in 6 well fought innings in before the rains came back and shortened the game for good. Jeff Roach pitched 5 no hit innings and Steve Lapham pitched the final inning to complete the win . John Hunter pitched a great game for the Mets to keep them in it all the way. The offense was lead by Mike Terrio with a key infield hit to drive in the winning run in the third. Cesar Romero, Billy Rolls and Scotty Sack added a couple of insurance runs later, Solid defense all around by both teams. Several great plays by the Mets outfield held the Vipers from pulling away.
