Kit Kadlec had a big hand in helping the Mets to their franchise-record 15th win. Kadlec pitched four innings of scoreless relief. And in the top of the seventh, he scored the winning run on a passed ball, after a bunt single and two stolen bases. The Mets got on the board early when Jay Joyce scored on the back end of a double steal, and Greg Cote singled in Al Becker. Tim Fortune's (two hits) RBI groundout plated Kadlec. But the Dodgers fought back to score four in the bottom of the first, highlighted by Jose Alicea's steal of home. The Mets got a solo run in the fifth, which set the stage for the Kadlec heroics in the seventh. Alicea pitched very well for the Dodgers, and Marc DuBois had two hits.
