Malden, MA - The top seeded Bulldogs escaped a tough fought game with the eighth seeded Black Sox tonight, 4-3. Evan Tardugno (1-0) pitched effectively for Malden as he allowed the Sox just three runs on three hits over seven innings. Brian Duplissie had the big hit in the game as he became the first player to hit a home run to left field at Maplewood, a two run shot in the second. Brad Tardugno continues to stay hot as he went 3-for-4 with a RBI. JT Ross took the loss for Brighton while Steve Tramantozzi knocked in a pair of runs as he went 1-for-3.
