Malden, MA - Patick Shanahan threw a gem as the Malden Bulldogs beat the Somerville Albrandis tonight, 5-1. Shanahan struck out nine batters over his six innings of work. He only allowed one unearned run and two hits. Jon Shepard got the final three outs to secure Malden's 15th victory of 2010. Brad Tardugno's three run home run in the first off of Sean Gildea provided enough offense for the first place Bulldogs. Hunter Caron and Anthony Perry both went 2-for-3 with a RBI. With the win, Shanahan improves to 4-0 on the season while Gildea falls to 4-1.
