Great early season baseball between the Beacons and the Dodgers. The Dodgers struck with a run in each of the first 2 innings, and were able to stymie 2 Beacons from scoring with 2 close plays at the plate. Both teams battled all night with the Beacons answering each of the Dodgers runs, and both pitchers grinding out innings to give their teams a chance to win. Things looked bleak for Beacon Hill in the bottom of the 7th when Tambling reached to start the inning, but even after loading the bases, Steve DeFusco was able to sack up and get a big K to leave the bags juiced. The Dodgers were able to put 2 across in the 8th with big hits from, Billig, and Duffy to start the inning, and a huge 2-run single by Steve Walsh with the bases loaded. DeFusco shut the door in the bottom of the inning, and preserved the W. Jon "Parkway" Merritt had a solid first start of the year, and Fitzpatrick went all 8 in a very well pitched game.
