The Spinners were firing on all cylinders Thursday night, crushing the Giants 18-1 in a mercy rule shortened game. Cambridge broke open a 2-1 game in the fifth with eleven runs and added five more in the sixth. Seven Spinners had multiple hits and were led by Ricky Salvia, who had two hits including a grand slam home run and six RBIs. Mike Knell, Mike Mori and Mike Navarro each had three hits. Luc Kocher pitched five strong innings, giving up one run on five hits while striking out seven. Bryan Miller closed out the game in the sixth inning with a strike out. Matt Ferro led the Giants in offense with two hits and drove in the lone Giants run in the first.
