A well played game by both teams. Waltham came up with key defensive plays throughout the game and Tom Dowey did an excellent job of keeping Wayland hitters off balance. Waltham's sluggish bats finally started to awaken in the 8th inning and they regained the lead after Wayland tied the game at 2-2 in the bottom of the 7th with a few key hits of their own. Waltham posted 3 more runs in the top of the 9th to seal the victory.
