The Braves got going quickly as RBI singles by Mike Knell and Chris O'Sullivan (2 for 4) capped a 3-run first. The Royals came back with 2 runs a piece in the 1st and 2nd off of 7 hits. The first inning was capped by Felix Villalobos' RBI double. The second inning was capped by John Palumbo's (2 for 3) RBI single. After the Braves tied it in the 4th, the Royals went ahead for good in the bottom half of the inning. Off of only one hit, another Palumbo RBI single, and 5 stolen bases the Royals scored 2 runs.
