Braves 2, Giants 1
Chris O'Sullivan looked sharp in his 2002 starting debut, leading the Braves (4-3) to a 2-1 Thursday Night over the Giants. O'Sullivan threw 5 innings allowing only 1 unearned run on 3 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 8. Offensively, Jim Belcastro's RBI Double in the first inning gave the early lead to the Braves, and they never looked back. Kevin Szoke pitched 2 hitless innings for his first save of the year. For the Giants, Dan Shanahan threw another great ball game, allowing only 1 earned run and striking out 10 over 6 innings. |
