The mystifying Neil Doherty (7.2 IP) and Kevin Brennan (1.1 IP) spun the first no-hitter in Marlins history to beat the Royals 1-0. The pair was helped out by some miraculous defense, most notably from rookie shortstop Mike Mori (who also drove in the game winning run in the bottom of the ninth) and grizzled MABL vets Karl Cyr (3B) and Paul Bracco (CF). Not to be overlooked was a tremendous job by the Royals pitching staff.
