Pitching in front of throngs of adoring fans, Kevin Brennan twirled a complete game beauty to lead the Marlins past the Orioles at Ross Field Friday night. KB was sharp all night, striking out ten O's and keeping his walk total well below a dozen while scattering five hits. He found trouble only briefly in the third when a Fran Morales single plated Davis and Bere for a short-lived 2-1 O's lead, but worked his way out of the jam and shut the door from that point on. The Fish took the lead for good in the home half of the third when Gregg Howard (2-4, 3 RBI) knocked in two with a bases loaded single and Jason Skypeck followed with an RBI double. The Marlins later put the game away in the sixth when an Andy Katz (2-4, 2 2B, 2 R) double led to a three run rally. Also with two hits were freshly caught Fish Al Becker and Kit Kadlec.
