The Giants won an exciting game with a last at bat victory in the first game of the doubleheader. After trailing twice, Al Caccitore drove in John Silk in the bottom of the 7th to tie it. Evan McNamara then lined a sharp single to left, just out of the reach of Orioles' left fielder Jason Bressner, who made a diving attempt on the ball. Paul Heering went the distance for the Giants gaining his 2nd victory of the year, while tough-luck loser Steve Magsam got the loss for the O's. Steve Coyle threw in 2 hits and a run scored for the Giants.
