Cole Barton (7IP, 4HA, 1ER, 1BB, 7K) outdueled Josh Conklin (7IP, 7HA, 3ER, 0BB, 4K) on the hill at East Boston Stadium. The Orioles took the lead on an RBI double by Al Cacciatore in the first. Chris Demers' (3 for 3, 1R, 1RBI, 2SB) RBI single gave the O's a two run lead in the fourth inning. Mike Monteforte (2 for 3, 2RBI) ripped a clutch single in the bottom of the sixth to tie things up. That set the table for the top of the seventh. A leadoff single by Chris Demers and a HBP to Mike Orlosky put runners on first and second. A well timed double steal set the table for what would prove to be Joe Knaus' game winning sacrifice fly. Cole Barton pitched a perfect seventh inning to seal the victory.
