Joe Knaus pitched a complete game for the victorious O's while offensively, all 11 Orioles who played reached base. Leadoff man Dan Gomes provided a key spark reaching base in all 5 plate appearances, scoring 4 runs and driving in 3 RBI. Meanwhile Chris Arenda chipped in 4 RBI's of his own to further the O's cause. The balanced attack extended to the bottom three positions in the batting order who scored two runs each to support a solid pitching effort. For the A's Ryan Quinn hit a two-run HR to pace the offense.
