The North Andover Thunder made the trek down to Cambridge on Sunday to face the hometown Cantabs at BB&N, the first of a three-game regular season series between the clubs. While the Thunder drew first blood, the Cantabs answered quickly to take a lead they never relinquished en route to an 11-3 win. The Cantabs offense was led by Jim Griglun (2 hits, 2 RBI) and Matt Mothander (2 hits, 3 RBI). And Joe Perna picked up another win on the hill, surrendering no earned runs in 6 innings of work. The Thunder were led offensively by Paul Laurin and John Antonuccio. They also got great defense at third base from Justin Illsley. The Cantabs and Thunder conclude their season series with a doubleheader on Sunday August 20 in North Andover.
