The Marlins played errorless defense and rode a 14 hit attack to their first playoff berth in franchise history with a 9-2 win over the DBacks at Ryan Field. Matt King threw a complete game six hitter for his first MABL win, walking 3 and striking out 4. He was helped by double plays in the first and fifth innings, and by a runner caught stealing by catcher Joe Montoya in the third. Six Marlins had two hits on the day, including Adam Etherington (3B,RBI,SB), Paul Bracco (3B,SB), and King (2 2B, 4 RBI). Jeremy Broadwell took the loss for the DBacks.
