In a game featuring great pitching and defensive performances by both squads, the Athletics pull out the 4-3 win to go up 2-1 in this semifinal series. Dave Pirman would surrender 2 runs to the Rays potent offense in the first inning. The Athletics, however, scored 4 of their own in the second, capped by a 2 RBI blooper by Donaruma to put the Athletics up 4-2. Pirman would then settle in until the bottom of the 7th. Letourneau led off the inning with a moonshot double, and would come in to score on a fielder's choice. Tyler Ferdinand laced a liner to left field, but Paul Mahoney was able to secure the final out and the win. NExt game is Sunday afternoon in Middleboro.
