A's TOP DODGERS IN PITCHER'S DUEL The A's and Dodgers played a brisk Sunday morning game, with Brett O'Keefe for the A's and Dave Roberts for the Dodgers keeping batters at bay all morning. The Dodgers' Roberts yielded only one hit, but gave up two unearned runs to the A's. On the other side, O'Keefe gave up three hits in the complete-game shutout and struck out nine. The A's capitalized on a few Dodgers miscues to get the victory. In the 4th, Nick Barton reached on a fielder's choice and was plated on a throwing error. In the 6th, Jason Tessari was hit by a pitch. The A's then loaded the bases for Paul Mahoney, who grounded out but picked up the RBI for the A's insurance run. O'Keefe shut the door with three strikeouts in the 7th to close the game out. Alan Donaruma had the lone hit for the A's. For the Dodgers, Drew Cumming went 1-2 and Mike Cahill finished with two hits.
