Finally the Cutters get back on the field and were able to shake the rust off from over a 2 week layoff. In the top of the first the Indians came out fast out of the gate with 2 runs on 3 hits. The bottom of the inning, the Cutters scored 4 runs and never looked back. Tom Levett pitched 5 innings, allowing 5 hits, 2 runs 1 earned and striking out 8 to pick up his league leading fourth win. Offensively on the day the Cutters were lead by Ned Coffee who was 2 for 4 with a 2b and newly acquired and former captain of the Fitchburg State College Baseball team Jim Ingram who was 2 for 3 on the day. Offensively for the Tribe, Kiely was 2 for 4 on the day with an RBI. |
