Levitt goes the complete game for the win pitching 7 in of 4 hit ball, 3 of them coming from Plant, and strikes out 7 for his league leading 5th win and continues to make a strong case for the Cy this year. Wisner pitches well but had to leave the game in the 5th with a hamstring injury. Offensively for the Cutters Jim Ingram had 2 hits and Coveney continues to stay hot going 1-2. On a side note Ken Kilduff scores his first run in over 4 years. For the Rangers Plant was 3-3 on the day and made some nice plays in the field to keep the game close.
