The Boston Cutters improve to 4-0 on yet another strong pitching performance from Tom Levett. Levett was thought to be done for the day when he handed the ball over to Ned Coffee in the bottom of the 7th, but the Tigers battled back and cameback to tie the game on key hits from John Silk (2-3 on the day) and Long. With Coffee struggling and Levett out in Right Field, Coveney and Booch called on Levett to stop the bleeding. In the top of the 8th, Mike Moloney lead off with a double in which he was almost robbed of a hit on a spectacular play by Long out in left. Moloney eventually scored on a key hit and GWRBI from Jeff McHgh. Levett shut down the Tigers in the bottom of the 8th, going 1,2,3 with 2 strikeouts to preserve the win. Levetts line on the day 8ip, 3 hits and 14 k's.
