After going down early in a 4 run first inning by the Jack-Tar Yankees, the Padres put up a quick 3 runs in the first inning in a 2 out rally. Manager Leigh Zancewicz had 3 diving catches taking away Yankkes extra base hits with one amazing one. The Yankees went u another run in the fourth with a wild pitch by Vicor Ruiz. Then in the 7th David James knocked in Darwin Mesa to tie the game. The Padres had the bases loaded with 1 out when Jeff Coveny turned a huge inning double play 5-2-3. Then in the 8th Julio Gonzalez then shut down the Yanks pitching giving up one hit. Julio also got a 2 out game winning hit to win the game.
