Wed, 24 July, 8:00PM, at Jamaica Plain - Jefferson
Yankees 10, Braves 5
Although the Yankees scored 7 quick runs in the 1st two innings, the Braves pecked away slowly. Backed by the bats of Mark Doucette (2-4, 2B, HR) and Chris Allen (2-4, 2B), the Braves battled back to get within 3 after 6 innings (7-4). Just as the Braves climbed back into it, a big 2-out, 2-run single in the 7th by Frank Kowalski (2-4, 2B, 3 RBI) gave the Yanks all the breathing room they would need.
Paul Reggio earned the win scattering 10 hits over 6 innings while striking out 6. Adam Frauton, AJ Bucciarelli, and Todd Steffanides each had two hits.
For the Braves, Chris O'Sullivan picked up the loss. Jim Belcastro added a solo blast in the 7th.
