On a damp, cold April night in Harlem, the New Shaskys debuted with an 11-1 win over the Cyclones. Pines pitched powerfully, painting precise corners, cracking bats and K'ing 9 in a dominant 5 innings. He also chipped in 2 hits. But the real offense came from Silly and Crash, each getting a 3B and 2 RBIs, while Bull came through with an excellent game behind the dish and a big two-out RBI single in the first that set the tone. Serious looked good in what could be the most difficult spot in all of sports; 3rd base at Harlem. The Shaskys hit .429 in the game but the most entertaining aspect of the game was watching Fish and Mugsy on the bases. That's good theatre.
