Sun, 29 April, 2:00PM, at Lexington High School (Center 3)
Southeast Senators 2, E. Mass Devil Rays 0
On a rain soaked Lexington High School field, the Senators managed to grab a victory in a tightly contested pitcher's duel. Tim Belanger went 5 innings to pick up his first victory in a Senators uniform, giving up only 1 hit and 3 walks to go along with 5 strikeouts. Christian Nashawaty pitched the final 2 innings to pick up his first save. Pat Dempsey carried the offensive load as he was 2-2 with a walk, a stolen base, and two runs scored.
For the Braves, starter Chris DeLouchrey made the Senators offense look silly for most of the day as he racked up 16 strikeouts in a complete game effort.
The Senators take on the Royals in a doubleheader next weekend while the Braves are back in action Friday night against the Cubs. |
