Spinners get the opening day win behind a solid 1 hit outing by rookie Reid Henkel. Henkel cruised through the first 4.1 innings not allowing a single base runner till the 5th inning when Frias got the lone hit for the padres. The Spinners scored first on a balk and a bases loaded walk. The Spinners would score 1 more in the 5th on a Ciano walk (2 RBI)...Then in the 6th behind a Knell triple and De Los Santos double they would plate 6 more runs. 1st round draft pick of the Spinners, Steve Mattina, closed the door in the 7th with a 1,2,3 inning. Megerdichian was 2-4 with a triple. Spinners will take on the Dodgers in their home opener on Sat. at St. Peter's.
