The Red Sox jumped out to a two run lead in the top half of the first inning. The Sox's two run attack in the first was highlighted by a triple down the right field line by lefty Nick Radcliffe (2-2, 2 BB, 1 RBI, 1 R). It would be all Grays the rest of the way. They would score thirteen unanswered runs (1 in the 1st, 5 in the 3rd & 7 in the 6th). Grays SP Matt Ferro was the star of the game pitching 6 2/3 strong innings while striking out twelve Red Sox. Ferro also delivered with his bat going 2-3, 3B, 2 R, 2 RBI. Greg LeBlanc & Paul Branche also came up big in this one. Leblanc smacked a key double in the third to give the Grays their first lead at 3-2. Branche played great baseball in his first appearance of 2012 going 3-4, 1 R, 2 RBI. * The catching of Tad Beagley so far this year cannot be overlooked. This is now the second straight twelve-strikeout performance he has caught (Game 1 - Bill Riggieri & Game 2 - Matt Ferro)
