The Philadelphia Comets blasted themselves into the season this opening day 2011. Gavin White, Adam Goldstein, Jon Gerwitz, and new addition Baker DeCamp hit a combined 15 for 22 with 14 runs scored and 15 of the team's total 32 RBI's. With a median age of 22, the young guns led the way in one of the most potential ridden line-ups from recent history. The team as a whole batted .410 scoring an impressive 45 runs in the double header against the expansion Brawlers. The senior veterans also played well today; Matt Gionta, Brett Mandel, Dana Erb, Jared Shelly and Rafi Cave batted a notable .444 with 13 runs and 10 RBI's.
