The Jays jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Leadoff man Colin Confoey reached base on an error, then stole second. Dana Levensaler hit a ball into shallow center just over the head of the second baseman to fall in for a hit. Confoey scored from second on a close play at the plate. With Levensaler on third and the infield in Jay Thomas stepped up to the plate and hit an RBI single. Starter Kyle Buika pitched a masterful 6 innings of 1 hit ball. The only hit he allowed was in the top of the 6th to Omar Ortiz. Paul Copson came in and closed the door in the 7th for the save. For the Dbacks Victor Ruiz pitched phenomenal striking out 11 batters. Also Omar Ortiz went 1-2 with a single. Blue Jays get their first win in the MABL!
