The Tigers got slap-happy at Kelly Field, breaking out to the tune of 11 hits, all singles. "Silky Smooth" led the way going 3-3, along with just about everything else you can do in a game (HBP, R, RBI, SB). The Big Belcastro got his rug back with the tying and game-winning RBIs in the 2nd, also reaching base all 4 ABs (2BB, HBP), and having a fine defensive inning in the 4th with 3 nice plays on back-to-back-to-back grounders to first. Dan Field showed why he belongs at the All-Star game, and not just because of the sweet logo, as he stayed hot, and got some hits too (2-5, 2R, 3RBI). Overall, the Tigers played a good game, despite some gross fielding by Houlding...who also pitched a little bit for his second win of the season.
