Sun, 27 July, 10:00AM, at Charlestown - Ryan
Tigers 10, Athletics 1
A pitcher's duel through three innings between Wlodarczyk and McGowan, both teams would finally get on the board in the 4th. The Tigers were first to act, scoring three runs in the top frame on an RBI fielder's choice from Stevens, RBI single from Long and Sac Fly from Giblin.
The A's would get one of those runs back in the bottom frame but that would be all they could muster as Wlodarczyk and Alicea combined to shut the offense down and give Wlodarczyk his league leading 6th win of the season.
Insurance runs came in the final three innings for the Tigers on a multi hit day from Sway (2 2B's), Morgan, and Long. Breidenstine contributed with two hits for the A's. |
