CANTON -- Despite his defense committing four errors in the field, Mariners pitcher DJ Goldberg persevered, just like he always has throughout his life. With scheduled starter Chris Horne ailing on the sideline with the Zika virus, Goldberg spun a complete game four hit effort, while only surrendering one unearned run in his final inning on the day. The Mariners erupted in the 4th inning with five runs thanks to timely hits by Joey Tornabene, Tom Hart, & Billy Hunt which was more than enough to improve their record to 5-3 & split the doubleheader with division rival Canton.
