Alex Teal got his first start of the season striking out 4 and only allowing 3 hits across 6 innings. The Braves scored three runs in the first inning before the Cubs even saw an at-bat. After consecutive walks to start the game, Nick Powers laced a single to right field to score two runs. He subsequently was thrown out at second trying to stretch it into a double but the damage was already done.
