The Waltham Nationals started the season off in exciting fashion with a walk off 2-1 victory over the Lawrence Yankees. Will Medina pitched 6+ innings while Bryan Santospago pitched a complete game, along with striking out ten, earning the victory in their hard fought pitchers duel. Kurt Bertolomi drove in a run to tie the game and Elvin Polanco drove in the game winner in the bottom of the seventh inning in his Nationals debut. The Nationals will next face the Newton Royals this coming Sunday at Gann Academy in Waltham.
