The story of the day was not the game but the work of one JL Murphy to ensure that the game could be played. JL arrived at the ballpark at 6:00 am, and despite three inches of rain over some portions of the infield was able to get the field ready for a 10:30 am start. For those of you that know JL you know how great he is not only as a baseball guy but also as just a guy. He kills himself for this team and in return never asks for anything, except a guaranteed at bat if Flutie pitches. As for the game Chris Igo was the hitting star, with three hits and three runs batted in. Also pacing the Tides fifteen hit attack with two hits a piece were Gainey, Miranda, Cassidy, Forte and Pithie. Once again the Tides also got great pitching from "everyday" Dave Iava.
