Anthony "A-Train" Leonelli hurled the Marlins' second no-hitter of the season Friday night against the Grays. Leonelli walked the leadoff hitter, then proceeded to retire 21 straight while striking out 8 in what (without resorting to superlatives) was one of the most dominant pitching performances in baseball history. He was helped along the way by another offensive outburst from the Marlins bats. Five Marlins, Mike Mori, Karl Cyr, Andy Herr, Kevin Brennan and Brian Caccavale had two hits apiece, and Mori and Brennan paced the offense by scoring three runs each.

In all, 12 Marlins recorded base hits, including Nate Pickett, who watched his pinch hit two-RBI double land in right center and later crossed the plate just in time for his first MABL hit and run.

Also of note was Herr's bid for his second inside-the-park home run of the month which was foiled when he atrociously lumbered into the 8-6-2 putout at the plate.

A-Train: more likely to pan out than Greg Blosser
