The Spinners beat the Pirates 11-1 in game one of their quarterfinal series. Matt Lessard led the offense with three hits, while Joe Tufo and Adam Johnson drove in three runs each. Everyone in the Cambridge lineup reached base at least once. Luc Kocher earned the win, pitching six innings and striking out five. Colin Sullivan pitched an inning and a third of shutout relief. John Burnheimer scored the lone run for the Pirates in the top of the first inning.
